This is in fact what DLH said his game plan would be if he was fighting GGG.

Unfortunately for Canelo I don't think this works with Canelo's mindset. He doesn't engage in rough and tumble fights. He never even tried against Floyd when that was his only chance to try and make it a fight. I don't think he has the stamina either to engage in that type of fight either. Really Canelo hasn't ever fought any different in any if his fights, he has one plan and even if it isn't working all that great he doesn't deviate.

I respect what ppl say but thats what a forum is about: discussing stuff, arguments, counter arguments.
Plus a little racism maybe, it's fun.

Yup. You are right. De la hoya said fight fire with fire. Canelo dosen't do that. He tried to outbox mayweather lol.

Golovkin isn't gonna run into canelo like you think. He's gonna jab score points and back up. Slowly break him down until he's ready to go out. You won't see a ggg running head first into canelo waiting to be countered.

In order to adjust to this, G will need to feint the jab and counter with his own right hand when Canelo's counter comes, trading shots if necessary ala Geale KO. G will not make Canelo tentative by throwing the same jab all night like in the Lemieux fight.
Golovkin dosen't jab like any of those guys. He puts his whole body into it. His jab won't be countered. It's not a lazy jab. Best jab in boxing right now. I f canelo can't get past the jab, game over just like that.

Trout and Lara gives every one of their opponents problems. Cotto had issues with Trout and so did Jermall Charlo even though Charlo got that win. Floyd makes most of his opponents look like a novice...his adjustments after a few rounds are nearly impeccable.

The thing is with this fight we will see different elements from both fighters because they will need them in order to get the upper hand. Golovkin is not going to try to bully Canelo like he has done in most of his fights and I feel that Canelo will use more head movement, not just fire back if Golovkin lands the jab.

Easier way, GGG aim his jab at canelos right eye making him slip to the left and straight in front of GGG right, corral his head, make him put his head in a place constantly, easier to land when you know where his head will be

Canelo's best work is at close range, trying to keep his distance will only favour GGG and if GGG puts in a high intensity then I think Canelo's will get tired very quickly especially if he tries to fight on the back-foot. He doesnt have the best stamina to begin with

                      Great question

Canelo doesnt use his jab as often and he doesnt use it to control distance

The snobby sect of the boxing community like to say that ggg can be outboxed by canelo, they say this because they use stereotypes of punchers not being able to box.

Depending on how both fighters approach the fight, the equaliser could be ggg's jab or if both fighters are more aggressive it could either be canelos handspeed and combinations or gggs power which is legit. I dont care what jacobs said about it being overrated. Hes supposed to say that if theres a chance they fight again but he was slapping his punches, too scared to turn em over and get hit with a counter , and he was moving and punch output wasnt high.

Ggg is deceptively fast on the trigger particularly with the jab.
