Bolton star Amir Khan (31-4, 19 KOs) is gunning to secure a rematch with Lamont Peterson (35-3-1, 17 KOs), who currently holds the WBA's "regular" welterweight title. Peterson won what some felt was a controversial twelve round split decision over Khan in December of 2011. The scores were 115-110 Khan, and 113-112, 113-112 for Peterson in a WBC, IBF junior welterweight fight.

I think Khan vs Peterson 2 would be a very rugged but competitive fight. Lamont has improved over the years, Khan has not. But Lamont looks a little slower at 147. I still pick him to beat Khan and then hopefully face Keith Thurman. Thurman vs Peterson is a much better fight than many would anticipate.
