Comments Thread For: Golovkin's Coach Reacts To McGregor Over Critical Statements

Two weeks ago, UFC superstar Conor McGregor had some critical comments about two of the biggest names in the sport, Mexican sensation Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and IBF, IBO, WBA, WBC middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin. Canelo will challenge Golovkin for the middleweight crown, in the most eagerly anticipated fight of the year, on September 16th from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Everyone is just hating on everyone nowadays lol.

I will say this though - GGG to me looked pudgy when this fight was announced whereas Canelo looked like he was keeping his weight down in-between fights.

When this fight got announced I thought GGG would easily handle Canelo with his jab and just dominate him, but I'm wondering if age and continuing to cut the weight is going to affect GGG.

Oh, and idiots saying that Canelo is actually bigger are just ******ed. The size difference was very noticeable between these two.

Good response but I don't like all of this Golovkin potentially not being in peak shape talk. I hope he shows up ready to go 12 rounds.

Fair response, but GGG was looking a little heavy to be fair. But then again he's never had a great physique imo.

Still think he wins the fight.

The boxing media are makes Conor the head of boxing all of a sudden, asking his laughable opinion about other boxers who can put him in a coma. Love the response from Abel.

I sort of see this as speed-vs-timing, with Canelo having the edge on speed.

I'm leaning toward Canelo by decision.

This is ******. Canelo has bigger torso, legs, neck. Yet 3G is noticeably higher.
