The round Margarito appeared hurt in, they stopped the round 20 seconds early. How convenient is that? Then as Carson comes on Margarito decided he can't continue and they go to the scorecards. Convenient!
According to the announcers the fight was even with Carson getting stronger winning the last three rounds.
But the Judges didn't see it that way.
Did I mention "convenient"?

Margarito is shot and should seriously consider retiring before he gets injured. He was taking some heavy damage throughout the fight and going into the 6th and 7th rounds Jones was picking up steam and landing heavy shots on Margarito. I initially thought Margarito's corner had thrown in the towel which honestly would have been a smart move. When they said it was a technical decision I remembered the fight was in Mexico and there was no way Jones would get the nod. Margarito has looked less than stellar in his previous three outings. Please Margarito, retire before boxing retires you.

Notice how long the ref took to check Jones' gloves even though the tape had been fine for at least a couple rounds? This fight was one of the purest forms of boxing corruption I've seen in well over 10 years. Even Margarito was smiling at the end knowing the judges were corrupt.
