Duck Stevenson is like " the boy who cried wolf " !! He wanted no parts of Kovalev. When Kov was made his mandatory, he ran to Showtime first, and then started talking trash again. "Duck" has fought nothing but gardeners, florists, smurfs, and Uber drivers. His plan all along was to let Ward & Kov do all of the hard work and clean out the division, while he took the easy route and then fight the winner for all the belts. Ward's no sucker though, and will probably make "Duck" get in line and earn a shot at the title. No one takes the guy seriously any more, he's delusional like Amir Khan. Wouldn't be surprised if they were best friends...lol.

it's also about saying your the best then proving it. Did Stevenson get more money to sign with HBO than to have a PPV blockbuster unification title fight with Kovalev? GGG will make a lot more than 10 mil in 2 weeks. That really wasn't a duck . But when Canelo knocks out Khan , invites GGG in the ring and tells him Mexicans have ball only to mislead the boxing public and vavcate the title , that a more than a duck. Canelo feels ready now though and I think we can all look forward to a great fight in 2 weeks with both guys having their moments.

With Ward's caliber he can read Adonis. I want this fight just so that Ward has Dawson and Stevenson as some sides covered in Gravy as Kova is the main meat from the resume.

You have to be a first class idiot to think a move like that had anything to do with "ducking." Decisions like that aren't based on fourth-grade logic.
