Nice troll post. I wonder if GBP is paying this guy? "Hey go write racist tweets against Mexicans so that they'll want to buy the PPV to see GGG lose and his racist fan from boxingscene humbled." I could totally see it. Not a bad promotional strategy economically, but ethically it's completely wrong and should never be done. We can't tell who is being paid to post and who is not anymore, so many people might believe this post is legit and actually become racist against another group of people based on their "experience" online with supposedly a member of that group.
But yeah, do I think this post is legit? Hell no. This is either just some guy trolling for kicks, or this is an agenda driven post. Don't fall for it. I think most boxing fans of all races love Mexican boxing really as much as any nation's boxing. There's a reason GGG adopted Mexican style. As for Canelo, I also think most boxing fans really like him, we just don't like that he or his team waited for GGG to show signs of aging, and it's hard to ever forgive a boxer or his team for doing that and potentially ruining a historic fight when fights like these come around so rarely. It's like if you finally win the lottery but then your friend burns the ticket before you have a chance to cash it. If you won the lottery every day, you wouldnt mind one burnt ticket, but the fact it's so rare and so special means that if someone ruins it the one time it does happen, you can never forgive them. Well boxing fans waited a long time for a fight like this. First May-Pac got ruined, and then Team Canelo ****ed around with this matchup, waiting around, and based on GGG's last two fights, they may have ruined this also because he hasn't looked like the same exciting, non-stop, ultra aggressive, super accurate fighter we wanted to see against Canelo.
But other than that, I do like Canelo. If GGG looks good vs him, and is able to have a great end of his career despite having two of his prime years put on hold by Canelo, then I will eventually be able to overlook that Team Canelo delayed the fight, and ride with Canelo again. But if not, then it's going to be hard to ever go back to rooting for Canelo. But I do like his boxing style, and he seems like a likeable guy as well, and I respect his Mexican warrior spirit. I just wonder where it was when the GGG fight was getting delayed so long... that's really all it is, but it's a big thing.
