I think Peterson is a notch below Thurman and two notches below Spence. Peterson loses to guys who would could not beat Thurman or Spence. He was soundly thrashed and knocked down by light punching Bradley. He was held to a draw by Ortiz. He lost to Danny Garcia who lost to Thurman. He was knocked out by Matthysse in a few rounds. Nothing about his record says he is nearly as good as Spence or Thurman.
