It's difficult to say who has the better skills. They both have skills that the other doesn't possess. Canelo has great combos and hand speed, GGG has great footwork and can control the distance beautifully. It pretty much comes down to who you're rooting for.

All the guys that you mentioned Canelo could not knock out were mostly defensive fighters. Canelo had to play the hunter against them, and that's not his Forte. Golovkin will play into Canelos strengths.

Cotto was in front of him all night and he hit him with everything and couldn't hurt him. Floyd walked him down also and picked him apart. Chavez was a punching bag and stood in there for 12. His power is overrated. He's knocked out Khan, Smith, and Kirkland lately. 2 glass jaws and a nobody... Before that he fought smaller guys or washed up guys like Mosely and still didn't get him out...

Don't see nelo taking out lil g but he has a decent defense, plenty of open uppercuts & body shots to help him win this fight.

We've seen different styles from GGG. People act like all he knows is how to go forward. If he feels he needs to keep his distance that's what he'll do.

People talk about Canelo going to the body and hurting GGG. Don't forget GGG has devastating body punches that will definitely destroy Canelo if he lands. The only fighters he had trouble landing to body are those that have good footwork and move. Canelo will be stationary.

He won't land much on ggg. GGG when he faces punchers is very defensively responsible. Stevens, lemieux, and jacobs all barely landed any clean shots on him. Same thing will happen here.
