    According to the New York Daily News, former two division world champion Zab Judah was hit with a three month jail sentence by Queens County Family Court judge, because the 39-year-old fighter owed over $120,000 in back child support payments. Judah was unable to come up with the required funds.

              he had a fight scheduled but no lets lock him up. make it impossible for him to pay anything because him being in jail benefits the child so much. smh. people owe all kinds of debt and have ruined credit scores but are never threatened with loss of freedom..except child support. sounds like extortion to me. him being in a cage does not mean he'll pay any faster.

                Damn tough times if Zab can't come up with 12k.

                Than again I always wonder how mfers get these insane child support numbers. I mean 120K is nuts for a kid. I bet Zab got f#cked over paying 2k a month when he was making nice money, but boxing being boxing nice money don't last & now he's making 40k a year trying to pay 24k/yr for child support & take care of his own sh^t at the same time.

                  How do these boxers get caught up like this? Is it because they believe they will get back to the top? Usually courts are quite amenable to dramatic changes in income.
