I am very bullish on this PPV. A few of my friends casual fans are excited for it. I feel like Mayweather vs McGregor helped put spotlight on this fight for the casuals.

I am going to guess 1.3 - 1.5 million buys. I think it is a very safe bet this does north of 1 million.

They will be lucky to get 500k. The fight is a mere 2 weeks away and last weekend's circus is still dominating the headlines. I hear that spectacle did better than 6 million buys. That was a $100 PPV and I don't think anyone other than the hard cores are gonna turn back around and shell out another $70 to watch Canelo fight a guy who isn't a draw...

Mc Gee has more fans than Canelo. It's evident Mc G is the reason why the PPV did so well. What were Mayweathers numbers against Berto? Thanks you.

I'm thinking at least over 1 million PPV buys.

My prediction is about 1,500,000 PPV buys.

But I'm almost sure it does at least 1 million PPV buys or so.

casuals drive ppv sales and this is mostly a hardcore fan's dream fight. that said, both caneloa nd golovkin bring in a casual crowd themselves. golovkin is more of an "international star," popular with whitey, etc. canelo has that ingrained mexican PPV audience that has traditionally sold very well in the states.

i'm hoping they crack a million buys and give us a great fight. maybe they'll even rematch if it is close, because i don't see a lot of PPV fights in the area for either.

if golovkin gets beat up i'm guessing he retires, and will be looked back on as a limited "would have should have" puncher who was avoided by the best in his prime.

if canelo wins the sky is the limit for him.

golovkin's ppvs haven't done spectacularly, but 150-200 k buys against relative unknowns in teh sense of superstar ppv boxing is not terrible.

canelo and cotto did close to a million. i'm guessing they do about the same. canelo's being mexican and exciting has a lot to do with it, but golovkin's style is endearing to mexicans as well, adn he has a lot of mexican fans. canelo did a million against chavez jr, who was a popular fighter because of his heritage, but never a top one and basically a side show at that stage in his career.
