Crawford undefeated through 2 weight classes and has mostly looked untouchable. Kovy has a lot of good wins, but came up short against a smaller fighter twice and kind of quit in the second fight.

Crawford has been nothing short of dominant and although he's never had an elite opponent he's won in dominant fashion against everyone he's been up against.

I factor the manner in which one wins into their resume

People praise amateur fighters on here but don't give Crawford any credit for beating a gold medalist

No he doesn't. 50 year old Hopkins and an over the hill B fighter aren't good wins, even twice.

I don't see Crawford struggling at all with the junior welter or welter version of Isaac Chilemba. Then if he goes up against an over the hill Pacquiao like Kovalev did Hopkins, I see Crawford absolutely demolishing Manny.

its unfair to not classify champions as "elite"

There are as many as 4 or 5 "champions" in one weight class. They can't all be elite. The Gamboa and Postol wins were electric in my mind. I'm also high on Diaz and Jean wins too.

Crawford has done everything asked of him and he is easily Top 3 Pound for Pound. The only person "potentially" above him is winner of Loma/Rigo. Yes Ward is up there too, but he's just outside that bubble for me (3rd on my list with TC 2nd)
