I am sick and tired of reading post of those castillo fans. they try to blame corralles for the fight not going through. They say that 5 lbs is nothing and corralles is just afraid to get in there with Castillo. Last time i check when the playing field was even, Corralles became the undisputed champion at lightweight. Cant say the same for Castillo

I have to say this, that as a long time fan of Jose Luis Castillo I was under the impression that when they met in the first fight he bieng Castillo was not as strong due to the fact that he cut so much weight. Ialso know that Castillo connected with his strong left hook several times and yet it seemed that he lacked power. I have noticed that at the lightweight limit of 135 pounds Castillo would have trouble achieving his required limit.I as a fighter know how weak one can be when they cut to much weight, and I also know that at the 140 pound limit Castillo would be a force and a danger to all in that weight class. He clearly proved that when he countered the left thrown by Corrales in their second fight and KO'd him. Corrales himself is a very strong puncher but would still have trouble at the 140 pound weight class due to his chin bieng weak and suceptible to a good left hook when thrown in tight from the clinches.I feel bad for Castillo because he had to know he would be to weak at 135 and possibly was in the frame of mind that the fight would go regardless of his not making weight. I also believe that the ring announcers were wrong in ridiculing a man when non have ever stepped into the sqaured circle to face an opponent. I also have to say that Corrales made the right decision not to fight Castillo for he truley would have felt his power and went down once again.I do not intend to take nothing away from Corrales I am just stating facts that I as a fight fan have seen. I believe that Castillo will once again riseabove his mistake and regain a title.I also believe in my heart as a former pugilist that Castillo in no way disgraced the sport of boxing. I still say that pound for pound at his true weight Castillo has knock out power in both hands. I also believe that Corrales should stay at the 135lb class for there he has no equal.

Come on now if you saw the second fight Corrales had gained 7lbs before he entered the ring. I have to say that the only uneven playing field would be in the strength of the fighters as they enter the ring. I know Corrales made the weight but he had time to regain strenth in the days before the fight. I have to say that the true power puncher won the second fight and that Corrales's habit of dropping his right hand after throwing a hook is what got him trouble. I give him the accolades that he is a good fighter but, to fight a counter puncher with power in his left and right hand when he throws a hook is totally different. You have to admit that Castillo is the stronger of the two and that I am right about his inability to make weight since the first fight left him weak. I stand by the rules of the ring that when your inside of a fighters weakness take advantage by using your power punch which in this instance was the short left hook which caught Corrales on the chin.Turn out the lights Baby
