Personally I think kovalev was overselling them borderline shots and mentally checked out but I won't argue wit you about it. After all he has the ko power and wasn't bothered by any of wards shots why didn't he just get annoyed and walk up to Ward and KO him like the super man we all thought he was. Big bad kovalev got bullied by the super middle weight with no power in his punches.

The boxing community is an echo chamber. I remember years ago Cotto purposefully hit Judah low when he was wobbled and needed some time --the whole boxing community lombasted Judah for being mentally weak. And heralded Cotto for doing what had to be done to survive.

If your popular you get the benefit of the doubt but if your unpopular you get impaled with critiscm. **** is more inconsistent than actual politics.

If boxing analyst were leaders in thought instead of echos following popular opinion, they'd be actual experts- not people paid to pass --regurgitated opinions back and forth from each other's mouth-- the same info a casual with internet access could tell you while your watching a fight on tv.

This is the best post I've read in a while. I feel bad for boxing fans. Appreciate your great fighters, put racism and bias aside, and try to uplift your sport so that others will take interest.

It will be hard to impossible to find any elite fighter who will fight Kov without adequate ped testing. Kov has never won a professional fight with real ped testing. He is 0-2. The only other fight since the Russia supplying their athletes peds scandal came out, Kov looked like crap and couldn't ko some bum. Who knows, all I know is what I've seen. Kov being Krusher, a monster with killer power in every fight until the Russia/ped scandal. And he has looked rather ordinary since then.

It's already been proven that ward's shots were legit. You and the rest of the Ward haters don't seem to get that the ref in the ring calls the shots, he did not deem ward to be fouling, thus he wasn't... dig? Not only that but you just need to watch the fight again, where the ref says is low, and then watch the fights. People like to use the bad angle gifs to prove their point, when indeed the other angles clearly show they are right where the ref called them legal.
