Comments Thread For: Frank Warren: Mayweather on Point, Gervonta Davis Misfired

QUITE HONESTLY, I don't think there is much left to be said about the Mayweather-McGregor mismatch last weekend. We pretty much knew what we were going to get from the Money Man and it was always a case of when rather than if. I do want to make clear though, that surely nobody can question the heart of McGregor or his desire to win. The only thing we were all questioning was his boxing ability and that question was answered on the night.

I feel Gervonta should stay at super featherweight because of his height otherwise he will beaten easily by the likes of Easter Jr, Mikey Garcia and Terry Flanagan.

Davis was very disappointing to watch. I was very excited to watch him fight, i always enjoy his agressiveness and ferocity when it comes to punching power. But he looked like another fighter. He fought an elite boxer, he would have looked even worse. Hope he bounces back.

This was disappointing by Davis. I mean this is the biggest stage you'll ever fight on in your entire career and you come in over weight!!! Before I go in and call him a slouch I'll see what he does in his next two fights! But this doesn't look good for him!!

Yea agree with Warren for a change. Mayweather was in one of the more fun to watch fights in his career & Tank was a ****head who came in under prepared for a fight that shoulda been a coming out party of sorta for him.

Maybe Davis had an off night but he still was in control of the fight ..would have gone well if it wasn't for that ineptness showed by referee Russell Mora...

Gervonta had a terrific opportunity to impress and showcase himself in front of a huge audience.

Instead he ends up screwing the pooch and wasting a valuable moment that won't come around too often.

Some of these young kids today are too entitled.
