I don't know what the deal is but it's ridiculous that they are not fighting each other.

Tough I'm too young for this era, it pains me when my dad tells me how there was basically no tuneups back then and the "tuneups" were probably better than today's contenders/champs. Indeed, Sugar Ray fought Benitez and Duran 3 times in 4 fights between Nov. 30 1979 and Nov. 25 1980 and Dave Boy Green was no scrub apparently (add Hearns on Sept. 16 '81) .

And Santa Cruz needs a tuneup?

I like Leo or but this card is bogus. Fox should have done what sho did and tell them fight each other or no tv.

PBC has a time buy with FOX. They can put whatever they want on the air. FOX doesn't pay for it.

Actually this card will be on first followed by the Showtime card. So they aren't really interfering with each other.

This fight sucks. I have no interest in seeing Mares look oridnary to a guy that throws a bunch of pitty pat amateur shots. I already saw it once and it ******. Now they tune up to a rematch? Mares sucks and will get his ass schooled again once they get passed these bums.
