Top Boxing promoters Bob Arum and Oscar De La Hoya have joined a number of others in the boxing world to condemn the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor fight as a farce. De La Hoya said that what he saw in the T Mobile Arena in Las Vegas was a shame in all aspects and made a mockery of the sport, as the fight contained no actual boxing.

Guys like you on this site spend too much time insulting people and complaining about **** that has no material impact on your life. It makes little sense. Boxing is the only sport that has all these bitter/resentful fans.

I've been around boxing since I was born (Kronk gym heads). I don't need validation from you buddy. I bought the fight because I have the money. I also watched the Cotto fight because I have an extra screen to enjoy. I support this sport on all fronts. Regardless of race, promoter, or matchup. What I'm not going to do is spend my time complaining about a fight that any objective fan could see was going to happen anyway. I know what I saw, but that doesn't mean people weren't happy with the product.

It's not worth your valuable time trying to talk to that guy.

What was regrettable was that Canelo/Cahvez fight, it was worse than May/Pac. That whole PPV was garbage. Has there been an exciting Canelo fight where he isn't fighting some over matched opponent?

I was one of many who bashed this fight before it happened on Saturday.

But the actual fight itself wasn't bad. It was entertaining while it lasted. Whether it was planned to be competitive for awhile or whether it was legit is the question.

It can keep you guessing, but at the end of the day the fight was a lot better than I thought it would be. So in that regard, it served it's purpose.


Bob and Oscar need to chillax man and focus on their own fighters and fights coming up. The Mayweather-McGregor fight didn't turn out too bad at all. It was a good event and fight. Boxing is still here, let's move on. Move on already Bob, Oscar. Let's close out this year with at least one more big fight at the end of the year.
