Idk how legit the 6.5M number is cuz it did pop up kinda quick, but anyone who doesn't think it broke 5M isn't good at reading the temperature of the publics excitement over a fight. This fight had more heat then MayPac. It sounds like it broke the gate record WITHOUT selling out the venue as crazy as that sounds & it was the #3 thing people watched in movie theaters Saturday so it breaking MayPac in PPV buys seems HIGHLY LIKELY unless you salty of course or petty or a hater or if you are just a run of the mill dummy.

How amped the public may or may not be for something can be misleading when determining how well something actually does. And to be frank, the anticipation for it wasn't higher than MayPac in any significant way as far as I could see it.

I don't believe that as far as PPV boxing sales go. I'd agree you are 100% correct in other avenues doe as there could be much more important factors in play.

I assume you aren't on any social media or on it very often &/or talk to many non-boxing people or non-sports people to have that take?

If most of your general boxing opinion is what goes on on this site or others like it or if you are listening only to boxing people with boxing sh^t then I can understand how you or anyone would have that opinion.

This fight reached so many non-boxing fans & non-MMA fans there is was no way this fight wasn't going to be the #2 boxing PPV of all time absolutely Hurricane Harvey worse case.

We know only Rick Glaser has the correct numbers

Dana likes to inflate PPV numbers as we saw from the documents of the UFC sale. But 5 million plus wouldn't surprise me.

                    Massive event.

6.5 million seems about right as this even seemed 1.5 times as big as May-Pac.

Knew this would make the haters go bonkers.
