The first estimate that was released for floyd/pac was 10 days after the fight. This fight was bigger more complex ways it was sold by more vendors but we have an estimate for a fight that ended Sunday morning by Tues? And not released by the promoter but by a flunkie who had ZERO say in the undercard, venue, ticket prices, the press tour or any promotion details. Mayweather primotions promoted this not the UFC. Dana white is full of shyt or just guessing.

      You think they just guess?

They make estimates based on the data, especially someone involved in the promotion getting a large cut will be in the know.

It's around there floyd said he broke the record on espn and he's a promoter he gets the numbers. Also from personal experience everyone I knew was watching the fight even my mom and she doesn't even like boxing, havnt seen anything like it since tyson Holyfield 2 but half those watchers were watching through black box.

              Oh really?

Even before sales via cable companies are tabulated, the bout has already sold 2.25 million pay-per-views, which makes it the second-best selling fight ever with much more to come.

                    They don't just guess though.

Read the article from 2 days after Mayweather-Pacquiao.

They had data from cable providers.

Even before sales via cable companies are tabulated, the bout has already sold 2.25 million pay-per-views, which makes it the second-best selling fight ever with much more to come.

This is an estimate based on data and if the estimate is that big it's done huge numbers.

                      2 days after.
Yahoo Sports on Thursday learned sales figures for the Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao fight on DirecTV and Dish Network, as well as AT&T's uVerse and Verizon's FIOS services. Those add up to 2.25 million sales, which even without one sale from a cable company customer would make it tied for the second-highest-selling pay-per-view of all time.

Not 2 days, and that's yahoo sports guessing nothing from the promoter until 10 days. And you proved my point they guess on Thursday after a sat ppv because that's when satellite figures come in then they extrapolate them to guess what cable numbers which come like 7-10 later will be. So how the phuk dana know the numbers 2 days before satellite figures come in which they use to guess the figures?
