Maybe. But irregardless how hard Chico struggled to make that weight the important thing is he is making it. -

does anyone believe diago corralas would have come in the ring at 135 ? he would been 140 too . i thought in cases like this the guy who could not make weight paid the other guy cash , and the fight went on .
i know this is going to generate contrversy , but i would look forward to watching JLC vs hatton or any of the other 140lbs or 147lbs .
perhaps JLC simply can not make 135 he has put on more muscle . oscar delohya won his first title at 135 , but he could never get down to 135 again .
i think JLC still has big money fights ahead of him .
Coming in at the wrong weight once, is unacceptable. Coming in at the wrong weight twice is down right disrespectful, especially when you are doing it to the same fighter you stood up last time.Comment

Are you seriously trying to defend Castillo not making weight? Are you ****ing high or something? Dude, just like Corrales said, "5 Pounds isn't even an attempt to make weight", and he did it twice. I like both fighters but am more of a Castillo fan and he got lucky Corrales gave him the chance to fight in the rematch. Corrales giving Castillo another fight where he didn't make weight is just criminal and you trying to make it seem like it was okay is just as criminal. Would Corrales have come into the ring at 135? Of course not and he made the 135 limit. Imagin how much Castillo would weigh walking to the ring and tell me if that's fair. Cmon dude, get your head out of your ass. we all wanted to see this fight but thank god it didn't happen.Originally posted by nuteddyboyhi guys

Five pounds are what separate many weight divisions. Those guys who put it in the rules--silly as they sometimes seem to be in some of their decisions-- could not have been guided by the fact that they're "round figures" or that someone finds the numbers easier to pronounce or recall?
If it's okay for one fighter to enter the ring at 140 against someone who labored hard to get down to 135, then, somebody should quickly propose to throw away those weight-defined classifications. Why bother?

i dont think he was ducking him at all. castillo shouldnt be fighting at 135 anyway, hes been fighting there for like 7 yrs. and chico gave up over a million dollars by not taking the fight. he was just thinking smart and trying to prolong his career. he might never be the same after that 2nd fight anyway and a 3rd one might have really ruined himComment

THANK YOU!Originally posted by mexigafcorrales weighing more than jlc on fight night makes it even more apparent that he struggled even more to make the weight limit
That was what I had been trying to say more months!
Karma for you!
Castillo is just too ***** to fight him wihtout having a advantage.Comment

corrales had nothing to gain if he went ahead with this fight. he was not going to fall for that again.
besides, the entire hype of the fight was predicated on castillo making weight. since castillo didnt do that, there was no reason for this fight to go thru.Comment
