What's most likely next for Thurman/Spence?

I doubt these two will fight right away. I know Thurman will want "another tune up" but who do you think it'll be. I know this isn't likely, but I'd like to see him fight Horn and get that belt. This would be two birds with one stone essentially. He gets his "tune up" while also adding another belt so hopefully when he does fight Spence, all belts will be on the line.

As for Spence, who do you think his stay busy fight would be with. I'd love to see them feed the tree to him lol. Please no Soto Karass lol

Who knows. My biggest complaint thus far about PBC is how long they make fighters wait between fights. I know Thurman is hurt and recovering, but something should be on the books for Spence already

This fight is another 3/4 fights away or less. The build up is only at 10% at the moment. It would get to the point where they both have nowhere else to turn to but meet in the middle.

Likely Luis Collazo or Carlos Ocampo for Spence Jr in Texas since nobody else seems all that eager to fight him right now

          As for Keith Thurman...

Yeah he is going to need a Warm Up or 2 to test that Elbow then he will have to take care of his Mandatory's from the WBA and WBC so Thurman vs Spence Jr won't be for a AWHILE maybe late 2018/Early 2019 IF both can still make weight by that time.

Thurman likely gets the Garcia/Porter winner if that fight gets signed. So no Thurman until 2018. Not sure if he will want a tune-up first or not. Eggington might slip in there as a tune-up for either of them. Spence will probably pursue winner of Pac/Horn rematch, but may have to settle for another opponent if promoters can't work something out. I can see Spence getting it on with an IBF mandatory whoever that might be.

Realistically Thurman wants to gather as much info as possible on spence before facing him. Spence is basically going to be forced to take two more fights before the opportunity for Thurman. If spence shows more flaws in those two fights Thurman will jump on the fight. Thurmans injury plus potential tune up will put him in a good space for having a reason to build more data on spence in his abscence.

Don't really care who Thurman fights...I'm sure it'll be a sad tune-up. Spence is the best in the division now; I'd like to see him fight Peterson or someone else relatively close to the top of the division.
