And every real boxing fan and casual will also ****** it. It won't do May/Pac numbers but it should do over a million. I've heard ppl say they weren't going to buy because Oscar was acting like a b1tch. To each their own right

It will do just fine the numbers came out from the cotto fight which had no fight week coverage because of mcgregor clown show and still that fight sold out in tickets and drew 730K viewers on HBO. And that was head to head same day. 3 weeks later and tons of ESPN coverage all fight week on Mexican independence day this fight will sell. Easily over 1m PPVs

Interesting, I'm not on Twitter anymore so I wouldn't know. Maybe he has no plans to do business with either of them too so he's on a "**** those guys" vibe.

I never got the complaining either. I thought this was the range for the PPV even before the Mayweather fight was announced.

I actually thought there was an opportunity to try and build more buzz for this fight with a little cross promotion. But the personalities involved had no interest in that. This fight could've been a 2 million buy event.

The Gate is already the third biggest gate in history, biggest non-Mayweather gate. That would seem to be an indicator the fight could have similar PPV numbers, Maybe ODH-Floyd 2.4 mill.

              Nice

I really don't think this fight was affected. Only because it involves the 2 (arguably) fighters with the biggest mexican fan bases. You'll have a set number from the Mexican casuals, and then chip in with the boxing fans that know this is a real fight. I expect 1.5+ PPV buys, only because of the chatter going around here in souther california.

I myself because a Canelo hater when he ducked and dodged with such blatant excuses. Only thing that sucks is that GGG fan boys will have the "waited till GGG lost something" excuse if he loses.

I really don't see GGG winning a decision either.

Vegas needs their new golden goose.

Canelo vs Cotto didn't even do 1 million buys. I will be shocked if this fight does those kinds of numbers considering GGG's nonexistent fan base.

Poor DLH...you talk about a solar eclipse . Everyone and their cousin was talking about the Mayweather/McGregor fight. Fight of the summer, history books...ESPN even joked about it at DLH's expense. The commentator went something like, are you guys ready for the fight of the century? Canelo vs Triple G (he's joking) ?

The only way DLH can avoid being completely overshadowed is if Canelo and Triple G is an absolute slugfest, which is a good possibility.
