With that said, the WBA needs to honor its rules. If they can strip Tyson Fury then they can strip Joshua. In any case, as long as Ortiz faces one of these guys by the end of the year, I'm happy as a fan in terms of the end of this year. It's too late to face both before the end of the year. Now, the rest of the year before this, Im not happy with, it's been a total waste for both Wilder and Ortiz. One decent, not amazing, matchup doesnt make up for that. Wilder could have had amazing matchups if he'd fought the Klitschkos, but instead he purposefully avoided both of them until they got old, so we're left to settle for this, an old Luis Ortiz who has looked like crap since the testing.

So really it's the least fans should expect at this point. Really, Wilder can't make up for his lost career no matter what he does, because you can't get all those years of wasted matchups back. I guess if he can beat Ortiz, then Joshua, then Parker and Fury, then he at least compensated for ducking the last era of heavyweights by dominating the new kids. But that's kind of the point, the last era was better, so he ducked it, and now he's going to fight unproven guys instead because he likes his odds better. It's still bull**** but IF he can beat them, then I'll give him credit for that.

Whichever way it goes, Ortiz is already old, so he needs to get one of these guys in the ring before the end of the year, belts or no belts.
Actually if you research articles dating from 2014 to late 2015, youll see it was actually wladmir who ducked deontay. Wladmir klitscko ran his mouth and talked about bermane stiverne and the wbc all 2014. He was going to cancel his own fight against pulev to fight stivernr for his title. Wilder beat stiverne in january of 2015. Wladmir never once mentioned, talked about, entertained, or showed intentions about wanting to face deontay wilder. When wilder and wladmir were both free to fight, wladmir choose beltless tyson fury over wbc champ wilder for an opponent.

It should be noted wladmir also called deontay wilder the best and fastest training partner hes ever had. Considering wlad has been in camp with the likes of Joshua, miller, whyte, and countless other top heavyweights, i think that holds weight when he bigs up wilder like that

Why does Ortiz want to wait on Joshua instead of fighting Wilder if that's the easiest fight to get made

There's a big difference between being stripped for admitting to taking ******* and being stripped for not fighting your mandatory (despite having another one called)

Yet in 2014 Wilder states he doesnt have to fight Klitchko yet and the longer he waits the better it is for him. His OWN trainer said they were in no rush for a Klitchko matchup and thats probably bc they ALL know Klitchko battered him in sparring .

And no , Klitchko said Joshua was a great talent that would take over the division after sparring him in 2015 . Had King not protected Stiverne , Klitchko would have got the belt and Wilder wouldn't even be a champion unless he fought Arreola for it.

" Wilder will not be rushed to Klitchko there is no need to rush Wilder into big fights against the best of the division; that despite a world title he still needs time to grow and groom his skills." Shelly Finkel 2015

Key word there is BEST of the division ....its now closer to 2018 . lol

Klitchko DUCKED him though like everyone else ..F'ing guy is the real BOOGEYMAN?

Your dreaming pal. BUMSQUAD wouldn't last 4 rounds with Ortiz. The only reason he still has his is because he hasn't fought anybody with a heart beat yet

Because more than likely the WBA will remove Ortiz from being Joshua's mandatory if he fights for the WBC title. Ortiz has been the WBA mandatory since 2015 when he was the interim champion.

This seems bogus. Joshua would have a easy win by a TKO. Not sure how is this ducking thing is being propagated.
