Lol, exactly this. Him and Ray have just been getting all emotional arguing about something they totally misunderstood.

Floyd knows if he can beat him at 40 being the much smaller man and an average puncher then McG gets ruined badly by top younger guys. They are probably best mates now after making a tonne of cash together.

Conor saying that he was only one point down at the stoppage just shows his delusion or nearer the point his misunderstanding of boxing.

Floyd giving his $200m bestie some solid advice. Stay in your lane.

Then after connecting everything, Mcgregor misses one or two combinations, and suddenly he's breathing out of his mouth, backing up, and looking like a dead man walking.

He just has stamina issues. Plain and simple. Plus he'd never boxed before, but that's no excuse seeing as the same thing happened in UFC. I'm sick of seeing fanboys of certain boxers give credit for their opponent's fatigue. Just like so many here wanted to overhype Ward for "breaking down" Kovalev, only for it to come out after their fights from inside Kovalev's camp that he was barely training anymore, that he's out partying, not interested in boxing anymore, etc etc. Not to mention it's possible he relied on meldonium for his stamina only for it to get outlawed months before his fight with Ward.

In other words, some guys are just going to fatigue on their own. You shouldn't get credit for doing it to them just because you were in the ring with them when it happened and you happened to land a few jabs to their bodies in the process. GGG hit Martin Murray with about 50 huge hooks to the body, and Murray lasted until the 11th round, but we're supposed to believe Floyd Mayweather at 40 years old has such a magical jab to the body that one or two is what completely "broke Mcgregor down"? Get out of here. Mcgregor tired on his own, and then Floyd started walking him down so he couldn't catch his breath, which tired him out even more. But the original ***** in his armor was his own poor stamina, not some huge body shot Floyd hit him with, or some big volume of them.
Except.... that was the whole game plan.

Granted he wasn't ground down the same way a GGG opponent would be, but he gassed because he was forced to throw, because Floyd kept walking him down and was in his face all night.

It showed Conor's lack of experience and lack of power that he had no answer for this, and eventually left himself open to be stopped.

Floyd didn't break him down on power alone, I agree. But Conor didn't gas out all on his own either.

But in Floyd's defence, Conor was huuuge in comparison, and Floyd is old and retired, and looked like cr@p. People keep forgetting that. Even in his peak, I think Floyd only had the power to really break someone down at 140lb's and under, so it's a big ask to do that to someone like Conor at 170lb at this age.

Errol Spence really would break him down, that's not up for debate at this point.

He's telling the truth McGregor was way bigger than Floyd probably about 170 on fight night.
Any of the prime JMW or MWs beat the tar off him easily.
Floyd is old, shot, and has brittle hands.
GGG murders Conor in 2 rounds max.

Not many boxers he'd even want to fight anyway.

What would he do, face Canelo-GGG winner? He'd get badly abused against either of them. Would be hard to even watch someone take that much punishment lol.

He has already been upstaged by Diaz at his own game.

If Connor wants to box fine just don't pick old guys half his size, then his wish for a clean out on his back ko will happen.

Floyd got the win but the judges and the ref were obviously biased towards him. He was badly hurt in the 9th round and the ref didn't call it a low blow, only after Mayweather complained. Stoppage looked too soon as well, but ok, Floyd came on well then. He had one of best defences in his style. A glittering career with just a few gift decisions. Retired at right time after looking like a shot fighter against an mma star in a boxing contest.
