When it comes to boxing, Mexican isn't even a style. It's an attitude. I think all boxers have a little Mexican in them.

Isn't it racist of these people to even interpret "Mexican" as an insult? As If fighting like a mexican has got to be something negative.
Exactly. No real boxing fan was upset because it's meant as a compliment.

Did this guy really write an entire article about Conor's "turned him into a Mexican" comment?

            Wow....

It's intended as a compliment. No need to throw a fit over this. These "writers" who look to start race feuds for views are pathetic.

I don't see why people are upset with Lyle's article. All he's saying is that what Conor said was justified given the final result and exposure for boxing, and ultimately making Floyd look as the better combatant, as Conor himself agreed.

The problem isn't what Conor said, the real problem is the problem! That being Adrien The Problem Broner, where his remarks about the ''cans'' were exploited and out of context. Supposedly Broner was the bad guy for saying he murked Molina, the Mexican, yet he also said any African could get it.

It's very paradoxical how nobody criticized Broner with Africans since that itself should exempt his statements. Only an idiot can't figure that out.

I wonder if people reading this would rather be Canelo or Margarito in a fight? Canelo is a Mexican with a total black style. Floyd was his biggest tutor!
Have some respect for ppl that serve their country because your fragile azz wouldn't and couldn't. You're a disgrace to whatever place you're from for a comment like that.

If any fighter who wasn't black just beat a black opponent in the ring and said something along the lines of "I just beat the fuck outta this Black dude" or "African dude" of course the media and everyone would be up in arms. It's the context that matters. You can argue that Mexico is a country and not a race, but most Mexicans consider their "race" to be Mexican. Plus it wasn't the first time Broner had made racially motivated comments towards them.

There are videos out there of him and his friends openly using the "wetback" slur.

Agreed if that's the case but to be honest, to me sitting in a room full of Mexicans understood it at the instant it was said because of what happened in the fkn fight. The media are the ones that relentlessly start sh@t over and over again. the sh@ts going to really hit the fan one day because of this and everyone who started this will regret it.
