  • Comments Thread For: Indignation Over McGregor's 'Mexican' Remark is Mistaken

By Lyle Fitzsimmons - It was a promotion crammed to capacity with offensive moments. And from the instant publicity-tour microphones went live in Los Angeles to the end of the final fight-week presser in Las Vegas, neither Floyd Mayweather Jr. nor Conor McGregor showed much regard for the rules of decency and professional conduct as they sold their product. Mayweather's steady ****** of F-bombs sent both censors and frazzled parents scrambling for mute-button cover, while the Irishman's...

I guess everything a white man says, even if meant to be praise is racist now in America. I remember way back when n@gger was the only offensive word. Now calling someone a nationality is offensive. This is just getting to a whole new level of ridiculous. I can't stand the media anymore. Pitiful.

That's What happens when you have so many casuals buying a fight.

Isn't it racist of these people to even interpret "Mexican" as an insult? As If fighting like a mexican has got to be something negative.

It was a compliment if anything. They should take all these dullards and put them on an island so they can enjoy their drama-free, boring life affirming lives.

I thought it was a compliment first. It could go two ways: One: You fought like a Mexican warrior (skilled, brave, never say die, even get killed in the ring, etc.). Two: You fought like a Mexican (******, with no skills, face first, full of himself, a moron). I guess Canelo isn't Mexican.

I thought the first was a compliment first, then asked myself, as opposed to what? The rest of the bitches and pussies of all colors? I don't know man, I never bought this concept of Mexicans being the epitome of warriorism.

                  Canelo or Margarito?

I think the leftist white people get more offended by a perceived stereotype than the group being stereotyped. This is why I can't stand the left just as much as I can't stand the right.
