all you have to do is say the guy was 40, coming off of a two year layoff and actual retirement, and was always limited as an aggressor anyway. did you really expect floyd mayweather to stumble into a ring after two years and blow away the biggest fighter he's ever going to fight with punching power in a couple of rounds?

he was fighting a guy who has never box professionally in his life before.

im sure micheal jordan can come out of retirement and still schooled tom brady in a b-ball game.

Rubbish excuse, Wald was older and just as inactive against a Elite younger fighter in Joshuia, schooled Joshua and shoulda won. He didnt, and messed up. but at no point did he blame his inactivity or age. Imagine what that Wlad would do to the current UFC champ at boxing.

Also Connor never been active in boxing, barely had any amatear expereince unlike floyd who went to the olympics and never laced up boxing gloves in a professional bout ever...No you cant get more inactive than never lacing them up.

Floyd represented the boxing world terribly in that fight, being down on any sane mans cards going intop the 10th and relying on Connor to gas is disgrceful.

Either boxing is a rubbish sport that any numpty can do, or Floyd got out gunned by a talented Connor until he gassed.

But fact is boxing lost that night despite losing the fight...

show me your scorecard and explain to me how you had mcgregor ahead in the 10th.

i don't expect you to understand that it doesn't matter if you're a boxer or not, not having power like a HW is not having power like a HW. wladimir could turn the fight with joshua with one punch or one sequence, and he did. floyd cannot do that. he would if he could, but he couldn't, so he didnt!

a big puncher takes advantage of connor's chin being straight up in the air and knocks him out early. cotto, for instance, would have a field day with that guy. canelo. golovkin. spence. even crawford. those are guys who would knock connor out quickly. styles make fights. so do talents. floyd's never been a big puncher, and if he tried he'd break his hands and risk losing. floyd has to rely on boxing, conditioning, and wearing a guy down. always has. zab judah beat him to the punch early. shane mosley almost took his head off. but did they win the fight? especially now that he's old and fought a dude who murdered himself to make 154 lbs, and rehydrated likely into the 170's, floyd can't simply blow a guy out with power.

this is news and an issue to people who don't understand a lick about boxing. floyd is not a big puncher or great finisher. is he still a hall of famer and all time great, or not?

and again, it's now time for you to embarrass yourself and show us your card that had connor ahead in the 10th.

that's the excuse you're using and the rest of the floyd fans. "he's 40, he's been inactive for 2 years". so what? he was fighting a guy who has never box professionally in his life before. like i said, im sure MJ can still come out and schooled brady in a b-ball game, no?

remember when ggg fought brook, and ggg walked forward for the first few rounds and ate punches? ggg fans said he did that because he didnt have any respect for brooks power and he was pushing for an early ko, remember what the floyd fans say about it? (ggg got exposed)

now they're doing the same with floyd, saying he did that on purpose to give the fans their money's worth and the let conor tire himself out.
Exactly! There's always, always a double std. when it comes to Floyd and I don't understand why. The dude's not that likeable.

What it boils down to, he won but people are not giving 6-7 week training camp McGregor his props. That was amazing, no matter how you slice it.
