I think Cody Garbrandt would do even better than McGregor in a boxing match giving his boxing background. Stipe Miocic as well so that is disappointing! UFC think they own their ***ing Fighters? WTF since the Pay is Low let them go make real money when they can!

This just proves how hard it is to work with Double Dip Bob Arum. I mean who would of thought Al Haymon and Dana White could get alobg before Al and Top Skank... We all know HE was the holdup woth Pac. That and all the sudden scared of needles.

Man you've seen how Top Rank treats their fighters??? And if you piss Bob Arum off he'll try and ruin your career. Sht he bad mouthed Tim Bradley right to his face and now is doing the same to Pac.

But Conors lack of stamina and heart let him down.
You know I was super surprised that didn't get thrown out there to lessen the blow of the L. I believe that was one of my pre-fight predictions that ended up being completely wrong.

Respect to Conor for not taking that easy route to minimize the L & hype himself. He truly went out there to win & while the deck was stacked against him he legit feels like he coulda won & feels f#cked up he lost.

They're all under an exclusive contract with the UFC, so in hence, he does own all UFC fighters.

the real reason he doesn't want his fighters boxing because they only have $$$ to gain from it, nothing more. No other UFC fighter would generate a quarter of the $$ Connor and Floyd did, so there's really no other benefit for the UFC. if this type of opportunity presents itself again, no doubt Dana and the entire UFC team would love for their fighter to box.

Now the boxers can go into the octagon. Joshua vs Lesnar. If Joshua catches Brock with a punch, it's a ko, but if Lesnar grapples Joshua then it's all over in his favour.

Dana White is right. Fight showed the huge disparity in hand striking ability between boxers and mma fighters. Mma is improving, but floyd had the heavier hands, and he's not known as a puncher and McGregor was considerably bigger. It's also obvious that McGregor does not know how to control a boxing ring to control the pace of a match. He also doesn't know how to defend his body, change angles to nullify attacks, fight at close range or block punches with his gloves/arms. All of his defence came from upper body movement, and he is reasonably quick and has good reflexes. McGregor's power was very poor. Unless they were being fed opponents from smaller weight divisions, I can't see any mma fighters having really success in the boxing ring. It's just a different sport and they aren't prepared for it.

I think boxers would definitely do worse in mma than mma fighters would do in boxing. Too much to learn to even get a foot into the top level. Punchers chance for early wins is about all they'd have.

The Pacquiao fight took so long to make because Arum is an assh*le.

The fact that Dana White says Al Haymon and Floyd were so easy to work with just confirms it.
