Because a good portion of MMA fighters are former boxers that go into the sport and have a good career. On the hand, an MMA fighter has yet to come into boxing and have success. Last night was just another example.

No they are not, thats absolutely untrue. I can only name one former boxer that has done relatively well and that is Holly Holm..

Most MMA fighters have come from wrestling, kickboxing or BJJ, and these days thats not even the case with most younger fighters starting crosstraining specifically in the hopes of being an MMA fighter

There are some severely clueless boxing fans.. MMA does not have the same matchmaking process that boxing has. The injury rate in training is much higher because they have to condense many different aspects of fighting into a single training camp and as such they can not fight as often as a boxer who has just turned pro hence they dont pad their record with 20+ smokers and journeymen.

Its okay if you dont want to follow MMA, thats cool. But to try and disparage the sport because you are ignorant of it is ridiculous, there is plenty of room for both sports to exist

They have already you moron lol, let a 40 yr old MMA guy that's been retired for 2 yrs step in with an elite prime Boxer thats got a 90% KO record at top level and the MMA guy is 1/2 his size and the MMA guy gets knocked out in any arena.
