Comments Thread For: Malignaggi: McGregor is Wrong, Stoppage Came at Right Time!

Former two division champion Paulie Malignaggi gave his take on the stoppage and McGregor's performance. Malignaggi and McGregor were involved in a heated feud for the last few weeks, after a severe fallout from a sparring session - where Malignaggi was helping McGregor prepare for the Mayweather fight. Malignaggi was ringside, as part of the broadcast team for Showtime at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Cotto beats Kamegai's head in and it goes 12.. These muhfuccas spend most the fight looking at each other, couple flush shots, and Byrd acts like a high school principal. Is this the same sport?

The guy couldn't stand up straight anymore, couldn't defend himself. He was done. Some people just can't accept that they were ****** enough to think the guy had a chance.

Conor was too exhausted to stand up.

I don't think the punches were hurting him but it was his choice to keep resting on the ropes rather than take a knee and catch his breath.

With that said, he tapped Malignaggi's booty. Malignaggi was beaten at his lifelong craft by a guy doing it for the lulz.

Watching the stoppage again. It was more exhaustion than anything. Conor just couldnt defend himself but floyd's punches really werent hurting him.

Anyone with any sense knows Conor had ZERO chance of mounting any offense when the fight was stopped. Beaten down, exhausted, being teed off on. Another 30 seconds later or less and Conor would have been given smelling salts after a series of concussive blows that flattens him and risks his health.

McGregor got walked down and stopped. It wasn't just exhaustion, it was an ass whooping.
