That wasn't a fight, it was Floyd letting Connor get work in.

That was glorified sparring between a professional and a novice, where the professional lets the novice get work in without unloading too much on him, where the novice can go all out, but the professional has the ability to restrain himself despite taking the novice's best.

Do you think Floyd would fight Manny or any real boxer like that? Not in a million years.

This was Floyd not wanting to embarrass Connor until the end. It was like a much more exaggerated version of Maidana I, where Floyd allowed himself to be hit to make the fight dramatic.

You notice with the Manny fight, Floyd was extremely defensive and sharp, because if he let up for a second, the drama was going to come to him.... With the Connor fight, it was up to Floyd to generate the drama... walking Conor down, slow plodding, taking shots, not firing back... Conor being the novice, can't do anything to a sitting duck... Eventually Floyd finishes him right on cue...

It was a fun fight though, as long as you appreciate it as theater.

Lol conor almost took his head off with a sweet counter uppercut in the 1st round

Floyd knew he couldnt play with conor on the outside and therefore exploited Conor's lack of boxing exp. Conor was very impressive

Connor only looked "impressive" because Floyd was not moving AT ALL or being his usual defensive self... Connor does not hit harder than Canelo or Maidana and Floyd took all their punches... he had nothing to worry about... so, like I said... it was like he was letting a novice get some work in... but then he needed to "close the show" and turned up the heat in the 9th and 10th...
