I was surprised too. If I was managing him I would advise him to stay in boxing. He can make a killing. Way more in UFC thats for sure

Who can he honestly beat at 154?

Floyd is 2 years retired, stood in the pocket the entire fight, was never once hurt or wobbled

The size difference was clear as day, looked like Rocky vs Hulk Hogan

The boxers at 154 hit harder and are much bigger....

He surprised me with his boxing skills too. On the other hand Floyd looked really bad....Not sure if that's age or if Mayweather was just not that serious. I think it probably had to do with Floyd being shot and McGregor being a better boxer than many of us would have expected.

McGregor's Achilles heal is his stamina. He'll never be a world class pro boxer if he can't vastly improve in that capacity.

he would accumulate too many l's. unless he faced a bunch of 50 year olds trying to make weight.

How could anyone claim to be surprised with Conor's lack of power after seeing him In training? Conor does have a good jab, good timing and throws from different angles, but he has no power and his stamina Is pitiful.

There was a moment, maybe in the 2nd round, when Mcgregor was wide open and Mayweather was coming in with a straight right. At the last second he dropped his hand and hit him in the chest instead of the chin.
Mayweather was just messing around for most of the fight.

Mcgregor clearly lacks boxing technique (arm-punching) and punches in slow-motion... but he's not a boxer so yeah, we all knew that.

Only in the fact that so many MMA fans were saying McGregor would win, when it was obvious straight away that he had no chance. It was obvious very early that McGregor didn't have the power to significantly trouble Mayweather, and then he got tired ridiculously early.

It was obvious he was getting stopped, and Mayweather was just smiling and walking him down, whilst McGregor threw pathetic arm punches. McGregor actually did worse than I thought he would.

So outside factors made it more entertaining, the fight itself was predictable, and it was only a matter of time before he got stopped.
