Only thing missing is McGregor getting floored... Wouldn't have hurt his ego much after submitting to Diaz and the fighting sports in general would have been healthier after that... He was definitely going down at the stoppage...

You're ******. Didn't you hear Sr in the corner after round 1? He said he'd be done after round 4. He then said a few rounds later, anytime you want start hitting him. He carried McGregor and let him tire himself out.Major props to Floyd but he wasn't carrying Conor. He was struggling to close the distance against a bigger awkward lefty with good foot movement. Conor deserves credit for his boxing IQ but his chin.... it melted like butter. I guess boxers really do hit hard lol who would of thunk it?Comment

Is essentially what you saw, yes.
Those youngsters who never saw PBF in action...you saw it tonight. And the same thing would have happened if Floyd had fought like that against Manny, but with a higher connect percentage.
McGregor fought a LOT like Tyson Fury: used the jab to keep distance, pivoted to cause Floyd to reset, switched stance off the jab, etc. I wonder if Fury secretly trained him, that's how identical he looked.
In any event that's how Floyd's always fought. He uses the early rounds to figure you out, then picks you apart.
What I totally didn't see coming, and I need to change my sig since I did call it a long time ago, was McGregor's head movement evading the right hand counter and pull counter early on. Told ya'll that hat dodge was no jokeComment

People don't understand what they're watching. "Floyd carried him early" etc. It's about reach, geniuses. Conor was longer, bigger, and also very smooth as you said. Floyd couldn't do **** early because whenever he tried to get in range for his punches, he was already in Mcgregor's range and he had to be very careful. Floyd is not used to fighting guys with longer reaches. It's almost never happened his entire career.
Just like Jon Jones in UFC can dominate Cormier, but have trouble with Gustafsson who isn't necessary as good as Cormier. But styles make fights, and reach is a huge part of controlling range. Mcgregor has long reach, pretty good speed, and good timing and eyes. He is very similar to Floyd in a way, just not as fast as prime Floyd, and without the gas tank or experience. But Floyd did not carry him early. Mcgregor is just far better, offensively (until he gasses), than anyone Floyd had fought really his entire career. Obviously prime Pacquiao was better but Pacquiao is like three weight classes smaller than Mcgregor, and has a short reach.Comment
