It rallies any left over MMA heads into thinking 'damn Conor got more power now' and opens the eyes of a lot of us stubborn boxing fans that see it as a joke fight.
Personally I don't think the oz. of the gloves will make a difference. It won't give Conor the power of the Terminator like the MMA guys say, and Floyd fought most of his fights with them anyway didn't he? So it is by the by really. Just a little gimmick that gets more attention. Throws more ****e into the mix. More attention means more money.

The first three or four, he will be awkward and rangy with that lead right always in mid range to carefully measure the distance. He moves in and out quite well and will count on that. However, he will miss an awful lot and is known to tire. Floyd will ride out a lot, pick and poke until Conor is gassed, and embarrass him greatly.
Floyd needs to take him into deep waters, the deepest he's ever been to, and if he does so then he won't even need to drown him, he will drown anyway. Floyd can, should and highly likely will make it look easy, give or take a few scares in the first half.
