Why? With Charlo mandatory for the WBC, and Derevyanchenko mandatory for the IBF, why let Golovkin or Alvarez hide?

If Golovkin wins, he's got to either fight Billy Joe Saunders, or he's in there with Charlo and then Derevyanchenko.

If Alvarez wins, Alvarez leaves as WBA/IBF champion, Alvarez has to fight either Saunders or Derevyanchenko, and Golovkin immediately gets put back into the ring with a primed, peaking young middleweight in Jermall Charlo, if he's really about fighting for titles.

Haymon can get those guys to make that fight when they both have belts.

Why? Why the hell not? There's a rematch clause. Plus if Golovkin wins and Canelo doesn't want a rematch he'll likely fight Saunders (if he wins). So the next time these guys might have a chance to fight Golovkin is a year from now or maybe on 2019 at worst case.

As fans we should be wanting these two and others to fight and not be waiting around.

Golovkin's hung his hat on defending his belts over any talk of fighting for prestige/money.

Hilarious to see folks trying to protect the old man.

No, he didn't. He hung his hat on winning all the titles, the Mandatories just came up during that hunt for the titles. If he fights anyone next it will be BJS for sure.

protect him because I want to see Charlo fight? You Golovkin haters are pathetic. More interest in hating on Golovkin than truly rooting for good boxing. I wouldn't mind seeing Charlo-Golovkin but there's something called reality. And reality should smack you clowns in the face and tell you it is going to take some time before they could fight. Why the hell you guys are so scared to see Charlo fight anyone besides Golovkin next is beyond me. Again I don't see Charlo fans as much as Golovkin haters.

Yes that will be his next fight if he beats Canelo and Canelo doesn't want a rematch, or at least right away. It will likely be almost a year even under best circumstances for a Golovkin-Charlo fight. Why the Charlo "fans" don't want Charlo to fight until he faces Golovkin is beyond me.

If I'm a fan and think my fighter is awesome and the monster these guys claim I'd want him to fight anyone decent. Like I said these aren't true Charlo fans they are Golovkin haters.
