Comments Thread For: Amir Khan Fears: If Conor McGregor Wins - Boxing is Over!

Amir Khan fears "boxing will be over" if Conor McGregor defeats Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas on Saturday night. The welterweight differs from the many who consider the crossover match-up bad for the sport, believing it has given it a timely boost, and has also predicted Mayweather will "walk through" his opponent.

Where is all this talk about boxing is being dead is coming from? Boxing has being going on for centuries and is not going anywhere no matter what! Khan's boxing career is dead & he hasn't won a meaningful fight in years. Khan is looking to cash out & is begging for a fight with Floyd but it will never happen. Porter, Thurman, Garcia, Peterson, Spence, CRAWFORD, Horn, wouldn't hesitate to take Khan on but Khan is hesitant to face either of them!

Wow, Khan isn´t exactly wrong this time. Conor, UFC and MMA have nothing to lose as Mc is supposed to be totally schooled. Floyd has his reputation on the line but I´m sure the money will help him get over it if he somehow loses. But pro boxing as a sport and as a business would be ruined for years. Of course the risk is minimal but it still exists.

Well, I dont agree, everyone that knows anything about boxing knows that connor is supposed to be schooled. But, man, you dont know the amount of people that think that connor will win floyd, there are millions of deluded idiots in this world. No, mcgreggor is not supposed to be schooled, at leas by the majority of the people watching that fight. Connor being reduced to a ridicule puppet will be a major impact in his career.

spoiler, floyd throws the fight, made millions betting on conor through surrogates and sets up a lucrative rematch, promoted as "old aging boxer sets out to gain respect back for his sport by toppling the ****y young MMA fighter that handed him his first defeat"

My prediction should the impossible happens and McGregor secures the victory he will be calling out the winner of Canelo/GGG.
