Miam-a is actually the correct pronunciation for OK (not for Miami, FL). Missouri is pronounced Missoura by locals. Nothing bad or wrong about it. Its just regional pronunciation. Kinda like Pierre SD is pronounced like PEER, or Bel Fourche SD is pronounced Bell FOOOSH. Milan OH is MY-LAN.
