How is this some kind of genius move by McGregor? The fight didn't make any traction until Mayweather said ok, let's do it. If McGregor is smart for getting Mayweather to fight him, what does it say about Mayweather for getting the bigger cut of the profit fighting a much easier fight than if he faced someone like Golovkin to make that kind of money.

Praising McGregor for this is like praising someone for house sitting a mansion for a few days.

The thing is McGregor is the guy making the sacrifice, ie, coming to another sport.

He hyped the fight and is a fantastic saler.

I do think he's trying to win and not being ridiculous but he deeply knows he has a little chance to win, he's not that ******, but he probably doesn't give a fck to take a loss in a different sport for 8 figures.

Conor did seem a lil less confident when that reporter asked him about betting on himself lol. I mean I feel like I've seen enough of Conor to know that he legit believes he will beat Floyd in his most confident moments which is most of the time.

But that one moment he seemed like maybe he didn't actually believe he was gonna win to the point of betting on himself. He sorta back doored himself into saying no cuz I believe he was thinking of why he wouldn't bet on himself as a dog cuz he knows he's the dog in his own mind which isn't something a guy who thinks he would win would actually believe. The guy who really believes he's gonna win doesn't consider that question as much as Conor did. So Conor slipped up with his confidence in himself on that one.
