Honestly I think it would help bring in more casual fans. I hear people who know nothing about boxing talking about this fight & following the build up

I think if Conor beats Floyd he'll be seen as a hero to many of the Floyd haters which are probably the most popular brand of Floyd fans (I consider hater fans ultimately fans of a fighter) so he has a viable boxing career post-Floyd thus he'll ultimately become a boxer via the win & the many fans he'll have of his boxing career.

Floyd fanboys will be butthurt, but ultimately you gotta give Conor respect even if he beats a 40 yr old, 2 year retired version of Floyd cuz its such a unfathomable thing for a pro debuter to beat Floyd.

Hell yes. If an MMA champ beats a famous boxer in his first fight MMA would be bigger than ever. My Albuquerque paper only covers the huge boxing matches and even then only with a few lines. They cover everything that goes on in the UFC often with a full page. MMA is already more popular than boxing. If Mayweather loses boxing loses respect with many fans and looks inferior to cage fighting. A Conor win hurts boxing and helps the UFC.

You can tell Dana White is praying for a Conor win. He knows what a big win it would be for the UFC.

I am a boxing fan first and foremost. I find Conor interesting and enjoyable. If Conor wins or even makes it a close fight I would give him much respect and become an even bigger Conor fan. Still for the pride of boxing I want Mayweather to win big.
