Comments Thread For: Espinoza Not Confident Mayweather-McGregor Sets PPV Record

Showtime Sports head Stephen Espinoza is not confident that Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor will break the pay-per-view buy record. The current record holder is Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao - which generated 4.6 million buys back in 2015. Mayweather (49-0, 26 KOs) will face McGregor on Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

It might not sh^t lol. I'd bet on it, but sh^t come Saturday all kinds of sh^t could play into people buying or not buying.

That said even if it doesn't I think its got 2nd best selling PPV on lock so I mean it'll hardly be a horrific outcome if it ONLY sells 3M.

Think of all the extra potatoes you could have purchased if you had saved your money and streamed it!

I'm going to crack down on your mother's crack. Even if I have to dig the bitch up and stream it to you live.

NO! I like to support the sport and watch fights without worrying about lag, bit rate/quality, the stream being shut down, etc. Plus I like the event feeling when you purchase a PPV. Thats just me though.

For everyone: THIS WILL NOT BREAK THE PPV RECORD!

              NO WAY! GET OVER IT!

If it get's more than 3 million buys, I'll be shocked.

I always said that it will be Just Under Maywather vs Pacquiao Low 4 Million maybe 4-4.4 Million but regardless all involved will make a TON of money because it is Money Flying in from all over the place and all over the WORLD so I'm sure both are Capitalizing. Probably won't see who is endorsing this fight until fight night and until they come out and what patches they have on their Trunks but I'm sure both already made a lot in endorsements alone already

These are thing fans DON'T LOOK AT they just look at the Ticket Sales and PPV Buys but it is so many ways to make money when you're a draw in boxing. Allegedly what Mayweather has accumulated in Endorsements so far:

                  FLOYD MAYWEATHER RINGWEAR SPONSORSHIP

                  Shorts - £11m

                  Ring sponsorship - £3.8m

                  Robe - £775,000

                  Weigh-in trunks - £775,000

                  Boxing shoes - £775,000

                  Victory cap - £775,000

                  Walk out cap - £387,000
