    Katie Taylor: A Special Fighter

    Hey guys,

What do you think of her skills?

I know many here don't like women's boxing, but look at this boxer and tell me she's not special, strictly based on her skills and guts.

I wish her all the best.

She is very good, Id like to see her sit down on her punches just a little more.

I definitely wouldn't want her sitting on my face.

Right, not too powerful, but speed kills. We'll see how she does as the competition will now pick up. Exciting fighter.

She is very good. It's just a shame that there is very little talent in the women's game right now. A few good fighters here and there but it's mostly of poor quality.

I still don't see women's boxing really catching on though. When she's fighting on Sky, the commentators are trying so hard to push her popularity and talking about the reception she gets but the arena is basically silent and nobody is paying attention.

Best P4P Female Boxer on the planet right now, should look to get her hands on a title at lightweight then move through the divisions beating the big names of womens boxing like Cecilia Braekhus and if possible jump to 168 and fight Claressa Sheilds

I'm not a fan of women's boxing, and tend to give it a miss when it's on an undercard. However, i will watch Taylor when she is on, she's a good fighter and good to watch.

                    I've not seen her before.

My initial impression is that she is very good. She obviously has very fast hands, but she is also able to let her hands go - which isn't the same thing. Seeing her continually punish her opponents to the body was really good. Her positioning was nice, as was her movement. She did a couple of sweet checkhooks - textbook stuff.

The question marks I have are about her ability to fight from the outside. The video showed her continually closing the distance and getting in the pocket. She did this very nicely, but is it the only way she can fight?

It might sound patronising to women, but she doesn't fight like I have come to expect female fighters to do. She looked as smooth and natural as talented male fighters do.
