His trash talk sometimes reaches comical levels. There wouldn't really be any harm in saying Floyd is his toughest fight ever to win, especially as it is true. Even if he manages to pull off a miracle KO by knocking Floyd out about as early as he did Aldo, he would have still been his hardest opponent on paper going in.

Pre-fight negotiations threw this figure about on more than one occasion and Conor quoted it himself. We already know that PPV and gate would have been forecast before anything was even announced, which is common and down to the respective accountants to present a case.

Conor was originally shouting about £100m to take the fight which was baiting the fans over things that would have already been discussed IMO (too convenient and structured in the rollout).

There will also be a lot of background investors, which can access subsidiary companies connected to people involved in making the fight. Just the sheer size of the promotional aspects should give you a notion of the money already thrown at it.

Conor is many things, but he is VERY materialistic and wants others to know exactly what lifestyle he has or is going to get. Win or lose, all those involved in this fight will have covered the financial aspects before anything went public.

Most of the people involved will have business advisers, who would use metrics from both of their respective careers to present a financial business plan, which is then passed to marketing for the target audience, so it makes sense to me that he would already know, which is why I quoted it. incidentally, do you have a source to say it is incorrect? The fighters always have more knowledge than us, surely?

Realistically this is an exhibition fight, but with global appeal. Who wouldn't make a business plan out of it?
