If he hadn't been unlucky with injuries and been more active over the past couple years, he would be a full-fledged superstar imo.
Errol Spence will be a bigger draw once he beats his @ss.

On a boxing star scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being some no name pro debuter & 10 being Floyd & Manny, I think I'd put Thurman at about a 7 or 8. Maybe just make it 7.5.

I think he loses points with me with the lack of a PPV fight thus far which is one of the things which suggest you have 10 potential + his overall career trajectory as of late seems to lack any focus or real narrative with his lack of activity.

Yeah, I would also say between 7-8, the injuries have really cost him, but he's still young. I'd like to see him fight 3 times next year to make up for lost time. Peterson in Jan/Feb, followed by The Truth in the summer and depending on the outcome of that fight, another solid guy at the end of the year.

WOW! I'm a Thurman fan and even I been kinda overlooking his numbers! Yeah he Draws well! Yeah I think Thurman might be the most UNDERRATED STAR in this ERA but like he said it is not much boxing media in Florida so they don't come down to Florida to see him much only when he has a fight coming up

But no question he is one of the BEST INTERVIEWS IN BOXING right up their with Andre Ward, very well spoken guys who are true students of the game and can break down any fight you ask them about because they really follow the sports and not just their own careers!

If he was to relocate to NY or Vegas he could become a Bigger Star!

I don't think there will be another huge boxing draw coming out of USA any time soon unless someone somehow gets in the ring with Mayweather and beats him.

Americans don't seem to care about boxing that much. Unless a fighter with some crazy charismatic personality comes around or we see another early KO artist like Mike Tyson, I don't think a boxer from America will get real mainstream attention any time soon.

                Yes bruh!

The Thurman vs Spence fight is gonna be the next BIG one. That could easily peak at 7-8m if promoted properly and sell out any arena over there!

Seriously though only 2/3 out of top 10 p4p are pulling in PPV numbers >150K
Guys like Loma, Crawford, Chocolatito, Thurman, Spence can fight a good fight but cannot be ppv stars in the current ppv market.. Thurman has been filling up Barclays center back to back.. People don't give him the credit he deserves.. if anyone can beat Spence it would be Thurman, he has an unconventional and unorthodox style.. He can fight on the inside and at range.. he can slug or he can box..

I know, but just having a PPV suggests people are willing to try to maximize your upside or have a believe in your upside besides selling seats. That says something about the level you're at to me. So while doing 150k isn't getting you to 10 its probably gonna get you to a 9 with me cuz most name guys never sell 1 PPV.

That said it does seem like PBC doesn't have a PPV arm in the first place reallllllllly making it less likely for Thurman to even get that chance & thats relevant, but the thing hurting him is that he's not been consistent...he's schedule has been brutal lately.

-Currently out 5 mos with nothing on the schedule
                      Fought in March 2017
                      -Out for 9 months
                      Fought in June 2016
                      -Out for 11 months
                      Fought in July 2015

You can't have many guys THAT into you when you got 3 fights in 25 months & likely nothing for another 4-6 months as I believe I recall them saying Thurman wasn't looking to fight again til the first quarter of 2018. Can't gain much traction with fans on that activity schedule.
