and what good is changing trainers going to do? that seems to be the solution to everyone problems, change trainers. people seem to think hes gonna turn into some killer and all that he needs is for someone to tell him to throw a few more punches. couldnt believe how many people gave him a shot against mikey, must be watching another broner cause the one ive watched looks seriously out of his depth against any world class fighter.

and the ****ed up part about this is they usually wait until they loses then they switch trainer. if that's how they feel then why wait, make the switch now.

            dude is not that good!

i can't stand the excuses his fans come up with [why you'd even be a fan of this guy is suspect, but that's another conversation,] is f#cking infuriating. are you all his promotors? his dad who brushes his hair?

stop feeding into the idea that this guy is better than his performances indicate! he's not! maidana whooped that ass. shawn porter outworked him. garcia outboxed him. what's left for you guys to need to see? he can be beat up, outworked, and outboxed. where is this talent you talk about? where? i'm not even talking about intangibles at this stage [which, let's f#cking face it, the guy doesn't have and it's obvious.] i'm talking about talent. where's the gas tank of an elite athlete with elite o2 production? where's the finishing power to put maidana or porter away when they were both hurt? where was the polish to outbox those two limited fighters? and when he got a similar stylist in front of him, and a true technician in mikey garcia, where was the boxing skill to beat a smaller man at his own game?

rant over. i'm glad broner seems more dedicated, is getting rid of the leeches, is turning his life around, but stop it with this "if he only threw more punches nonsense." if he threw more punches he'd tire out and he knows it. he'd have eaten more clean punches from garcia. the guy just isn't t hat f#cking good.

Changing trainers works for some but not all. It was a good move for Cotto, not such a good move for De La Hoya who changed up trainers several times after each loss. Broner is just limited, that's all there is to it. He doesn't have the discipline to stay out of trouble, and live a clean life. Dedicate himself to the sport as a full time athlete. I'm sure a new trainer could help, but it's Broner who has to get his head in the game if he wants anything to turn around.

Thing is, at 140 he will never beat Mikey or Bud, and at 147 he'll get ripped apart by Thurman, Spence, Porter, Pac, etc. However, he can get some good paydays fighting other gatekeepers such as Khan, Alexander, Matthysse, Peterson, etc.

he needs a new trainer doe.

wrong! he needs a new time machine and better genetics. guy is not a kid any more. do people really think he's just going to turn into this elite fighter after all of the mediocrity we've seen while he's in his physical prime? the haymon magic allowed this guy to fool people into thinking he was a dominant defensive fighter and counter puncher because he was fighting short little 130 lbers with tiny arms and no power.

                  Switching trainers won't mean **** if he doesn't buy-in.

It's not like he was getting bad instruction; Mikey hit him with some ****, he retreated into his own headspace, and could never get out of that.

I doubt that he does this, and not even sure that it'll work, but he needs to get over that seeming fear of being in a firefight before even worrying about a trainer.

Head down to Dallas, war with Spence Jr for 8 weeks, and let's see if it helps.

yeah just an excuse. 99 percent of a fighters losses seem to either be due to the trainer, having trouble making weight, being too small for a weight, or having a bad camp with distractions. rare to see any high profile fighter legitimately lose seemingly.
