Yes, i lost respect fot JLC. He signed a contract and didnt live up to it, TWICE. But thats not what pisses me off the most. The press releases where castillo says he is right on track, and is getting annoyed when the media asks him about his weight, because it is a non issue.
    He lied.

I don't think Bob Arum was faking that. There's two things a promotor hates more than anything and that's when something ****s up their chance to make big money and when something costs them big money. Jose Luis Castillo did both.

I heard Gary Shaw had it set at 135lbs. and was unwilling to negotiate. I'm not sure about that, but that's what I heard.

I am so mad about this. I can't believe 5 pounds over the weight and he has the nerve to get back on the scale again and then his 4.5 pounds over. disgraceful. Think about all the advertising money dow the drain, all the people who lost money getting to vegas, ridiculous i am disgusted. He's got a lot of nerve.

Im not sure about that, but Deigo said, before the weigh in that if castillo came in over, the fight was off.

I still have tremendous respect for his skills as a fighter but he definitely lost a lot of my respect, because 5lbs is not even close its almost like he didn't try. I've seen weighin's where guys REALLY struggle to make weight and I didn't get the same feeling with him. Look at the Corrales vs PBF weight-in pictures at 130lbs, Cotto vs Branco or Jorge Arce's last fight and you will see guys who drained to make weight. It was like Castillo wanted to fight strong and not drain himself hoping Corrales would still fight or not fight at all. All I'm sure about is that I dont hold have him on the same pedastal that I him on after his first Corrales vs Castillo fight

a few days before the fight, he said he was weighing about 138.

i doubt he would give a **** about losing my respect, but he has, cos i bet corrales worked hard to get ready and now he ends up having wasted his time all because JLC couldnt be bothered to sweat off a few pounds
