Andre Ward could've a fairytale ending if he fights Superman

Talking to sports casuals at work.....one thing they bring up with boxing is that "all the belts, who champion..." etc. etc...Do THAT many people care about undisputed still? I've quit caring about title/abc sh^t, although admittedly I was surprised at how many people were amped about the fight last night due to it being for all the belts so I could very easily be in the minority with that opinion.
So when you tell a causal "this fight is for ALL the belts" there is interest right away.Comment

I don't think it really does that much for Ward. Nobody cares about Stevenson and if/when Ward beats him, they'll write it off as him waiting for Stevenson to get old. I would LOVE to see this fight, but I realize it is unlikely to happen with the was Stevenson has been taking weak fights.Comment

Once upon a time....nobody knocked out Sergey Kovalev.
The Ward KO'd the fake boogeyman.
The REAL boogeyman is the one even Ward won't go near...Comment

He fights before sold-out crowds every time he steps in the ring

Good point. I think most casuals are like wtf with this belt & that belt & it sounds confusing, but a legit undisputed situation would sound more appealing to them I suppose.Comment

I'm far from a Ward fan but even I can admit the dude has already had a fairytale career. Dude wins a gold, wins the Super Six, comes back and beats the boogeyman. Not a fan but can't dismiss the careers he's already had and what he's achieved.Comment
