That would be one of the worst mismatches in recent history.

I honestly thought he was retired. This would be a horribly made matchup.

I agree at welterweight, but he's a good test anyway. Plus getting the name on his resume is good. Crawfords resume is a bit lacking.

Arum overpays for a few top fighters so he can stay in business. Tim Bradley greatly benefited from this and Terence Crawford greatly benefits from this. Wouldn't make any business sense for Crawford to leave Arum.
Haymon doesn't keep things in house. His fighters have fought on every banner, including Top Rank and GBP.

          Crawford-Molina
          Canelo-Chavez Jr
          Crawford-Diaz
          GGG-Jacobs
          GGG-Wade

          And so forth.

And if he says no he gets put on the shelf like Walters and Vargas

Alvarado isn't a name anymore. Molina has had better wins and showings against top fighters than Alvarado

Bob can't afford to put Crawford on the shelf. He's the future of Top Rank. Bob needs to keep him happy. Bob needs guys like Crawford and Lomachenko more than they need Bob. If he's forcing them in to fights they don't like they won't re-sign. Fighters have more power than a lot of people think.

How about putting pressure on Haymon fighters doing a round robin first before putting non-Haymon fighters into the mix?
How about trashing Haymon for his inability to make these in-house fights?
Why Bobfather when Thurman is not even one of his fighters?
How about Thurman vs Spence, Spence vs Garcia, Spence vs Porter?
Man I won't even mind Spence vs Peterson.
The extreme bias is driving me crazy with these Haymon fanboys.
Is it really so hard to be objective in this damn place?
Thurman has fought Porter & Garcia and he's set to fight Spence next year after a tune up from surgery. Porter has fought Broner, Thurman and about to fight Garcia. Haymon guys are fighting each other.

Bob could make Molina & Diaz, both Haymon guys. And Haymon had a deal for Broner & Pacquiao but Broner turned it down. Bob can make fights with Haymon when he wants to. Like Dana White said, it only took him and Haymon a couple meetings to make Mayweather v. Mcgregor. Haymon is easy to work with. Arum is the problem

Garcia was the future of Top Rank and he got shelved when he turned down Gamboa & had to sue himself out of his contract. Floyd had to buy himself out of his contract when he wanted to fight Oscar. A fight Arum said there wasn't $20 mil for Floyd to make and he made more than that one year later fighting Oscar. Chavez Jr was the future & got shelved when he turned down GGG for the money he was offered without signing an extension and had to buy out his contract

Exactly Bob needs to keep his fighters sweet, if Lomachenko and Crawford go who's he got left? Fighters have the power to leave, why did Pacquiao keep signing with Bob? Because he was happy getting fed garbage fights.
