He did pursue Evander in 1998 though. Evander's former attorney, Jim Thomas, has confirmed that. Roy took his advisor to meet Evander and Thomas at a restaurant in Atlanta. Thomas states that Evander respectfully turned down Roy's proposal, as he thought he was in a no-win position at the time.

In 2003 after the Ruiz fight, Roy's advisor, Murad Muhammad, met with Thomas and Don King to try and make a fight. But King and Murad got too greedy, and King wouldn't pay Evander money which was owed to him from a previous fight. Evander was so angry, he told Thomas to make the Toney fight instead, even though there was no title at stake and the guarantee was for a lesser amount.

Do yourself and all of us a favor and stop talking. You sound like a troll and unrealistic person. Roy couldn't even handle punches from fighters in his own weight classes. How the hell would he have done so against BEASTS like Tyson and Holyfield???? Go sit down, moron.

How do I sound like a troll you ******?

      I've given you factual information.

Do yourself a favour and educate yourself on the subject matter.

There's no reason why Roy couldn't have beaten Evander Holyfield in 2003.

Why does a college football team not play against NFL teams? Its not their division.

You saw what happened when Brook fought GG. Beat his mother****en ass from pillar to post. The same would've happened had Roy fought Lewis only it would've taken one shot from Lewis. Man, GG beat the breaks off of Brook, lmao. Props to GG.
