Connor brought boxing back to mainstream

After the Floyd Manny fight the public in general have been disgusted with boxing. Lower ppv numbers than ever and yet great fights are being made with the fans still tuning out. All the disarray in boxing the sport needed a shot in the arm and here he is Mr Connor McGregor. He brought the sport back to the big time. Every day espn talks about the fight on multiple media outlets the only fight that matters is this one. Connor has re energized boxing he's helped make it mainstream again. I really hope he stays because we need stars like him to bring in new fans.

Connor doesnt bring ****. they talk about mayweather fights all the time. this has little to do with connor.

Floyd and Conor have charisma that appeals to the casual fans and the soccer moms. There may have been far better fights this year, but if the men involved are boring, lack charisma, or do not feel having a public persona is necessary, then there fights are not going to draw as many fans or sell as many PPV's.

Boxing has never been about character but about characters. Guys like Conor, broner, Mayorga and others make people want to come see them fight. Instead of criticizing them for their outlandish personas, they should be copied.

Outside of Floyd and Manny the biggest name in combat sports I'm talking boxing, mma, kickboxing etc is Connor. He's the only name out there that sells over 1.5 million ppvs by himself. I do consider myself a fan but I'm also a realist and I realize how much drawing power his name has. There's never been anyone in mma that has drawn numbers like him he's got 4/5 biggest ppvs ever. Now he will have the biggest ppv in boxing history too. He is a major draw.
