Comments Thread For: White: Malignaggi Had To Leave, He Got His Ass Whooped Bad!

UFC President Dana White has fired back at the recent statements that were made by former two division world champion Paulie Malignaggi - regarding the aftermath of a sparring session with Conor McGregor. Malignaggi was hired by McGregor to help the UFC star prepare for the upcoming showdown with Floyd Mayweather Jr. on August 26th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Course it was Dana. That's why the best footage you could find in 12 rounds was one straight left that made Paulie blink, and a 'knockdown' in which no punches were landed.

But honestly though, what's he going to say? That the UFC poster boy got worked over 9 out of 12 rounds by a Paulie an hour off a flight that was out of shape, hadn't sparred in half a year, and had no cardio? He's protecting an investment and trying to hype a fight. He's a turd, but at least a semi-decent businessman. They're not hiding government secrets in not releasing the footage. And the roughly 50 seconds in the five 9 second clips they tried to have Showtime air weren't even taken seriously by the network and were omitted.

Khan didn't need a full 12 rounds with an in-shape Paulie.

              Khan>McGregor.

Don't get me started on Eggington...

Dana's already said he's going to release the video AFTER the fight.

Lets be reasonable. No one is releasing that much sparring footage when they have so much of a surprise element BEFORE they fight the opponent all this sparring as been for in a $100M+ fight.

Bigger things in play here than Paulie's ego.

                LOL thats true.

If Conor did lose 10 of 12 rounds (or most of those 10 rounds as I believe what Paulie is saying) idk that Dana can really say it. Although I tend to feel when we do get to see the sparring it'll be more competitive then either guys take of it.

Hoo-bwaaay... Paulie will be spittin' bullets in his response to this. To say the least, it will be interesting to hear his comeback.

I guess he must be burnin' thru all that large cashish he made while still an active fighter... needs a big payday now. Really can't blame him, squawk and whine your way to one last big paycheck, get KOd in 1 round, project complete. Kinda doubt all that many fighters would walk away from a deal like that to end their career in the ring.

I just hope he comes out of it still able to speak in complete sentences. He does do a really good job as commentator, no matter what anyone says.
