Anyone else have a feeling Andre Ward is going to sign with Top Rank?

I noticed he is going to do some commentary work for Top Rank and ESPN for their fights. He is doing the Crawford fight this Saturday.

Also Ward is managed by Prince and Crawford co manages Shakur stevenson.

I wouldn't be surprised if he signs with Top Rank for his final fights

He should stay a free agent so he can get that Haymon money for a Stevenson PPV

That was a "word on the curb" from the Morning Punch In show a month or so back. Wouldn't shock me.

Arum & Prince seem to work well together. And Roc Nation seems like they are just leaking money left & right & not really getting much in return so idk if they are long for boxing.

        THIS.

Ward signing with Top Rank would not be a good move at all. He could get fights against Beterbiev, Stevenson and more at 175 being a free agent.

What fight would he get under Top Rank? Joe Smith Jr.?

Why would Andre Ward sign over his peak earning run to Top Rank when Top Rank doesn't have anyone for him to fight and Top Rank has been dropped from premium TV? Depending on what you believe, Andre Ward just got $10m for the two Kovalev fights.

To extrapolate all of this from Andre Ward filling in for Tim Bradley once is laughable (the fact that Ward is also going to be a apart of the Floyd-McGregor hype makes it pretty obvious that this is far more an ESPN move than anything to do with Top Rank).

Andre Ward has a good batch of fights that make his likely move obvious; Stevenson to unify the division, Cleverly-Jack winner as the WBA mandatory, Beterbiev-Koeling winner as the IBF mandatory, Tony Bellew at cruiserweight, the dream of a shot at the heavyweight title (which is pretty long odds, with Ward still sitting in the 180s without a fight in the question).

Ward's fought out his HBO deal, will leverage the ESPN exposure for this last run of Floyd's, and he and RocNation (after Haymon and James Prince have their sit-down) are likely to move the entire stable (Ward, Rigo, Arias, Hooker, DHH, and their young prospects) over to Showtime.

Kind looks that way. If so I'm guessing he wants Parker for his belt.

Top Rank has Gvozdyk plus they are promoting Beterbiev's next fight. Maybe Ramirez moves up too.

Top Rank also controls the WBO heavyweight title which would be the most realistic path for Ward to challenge for that title vs. Parker or Jennings.

simple, top rank could be the latest sucker to bid against themselves by snatching ward just like RNS before them...i think RNS earned their lesson and is out of the ward business. Ward will cash out with Bellew and leverage his status into a big payday despite being just a local attraction just like he always has done.
